Chicago Botanic Garden

Through the Museum Pass program, the Library offers a pass good for the admission of one vehicle to the Garden.  With its world-renowned plant collections and displays, it is one of the country's most visited public gardens and preeminent center for learning and scientific research.
flowers botanic garden From the Botanic Garden's website:  "Take a walk and enjoy the spring blooms, including Jade Plant white Chinese tree peonies. Vintage Lavender stock is blooming in the English Walled Garden, and Perestroyka single late tulips glow in the afternoon light at the Bulb Garden. Azaleas and grape hyacinths are also among the plants in bloom this week.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Garden! Today, 2.5 million plants, 24 display gardens, and four natural areas thrive here. Visit our anniversary website to view Garden milestones since the 1972 opening. While you're there, be sure to add your own memories!"
