We've got Books, Movies, Music and much more for you...
Looking for Your Next Read?
We're always available to chat with you and help you find you next read. But sometimes you may not be able to speak with us in person.
We're now offering a new online service where you tell us about some books/authors you enjoyed (or hated!) and we'll email you a personalized list of suggestions for your next read. You "mustache" us what to read next!
BOOKS --Spanning all ages and interests, from learning to leisure, from old favorites to the newest bestsellers, in print and as digital downloads, we have thousands of books for you.
MOVIES--Feature films, TV shows, documentaries, music concerts, exercise, travel, and learning opportunities—available on DVD and/or on blu-ray.
MUSIC-- Your taste in music is covered: Rock, pop, classical, country, gospel, rap, soundtracks, comedy, R&B, Christian, big band, musicals, reggae, new age, folk, and jazz. Check out your favorite music CD today.
AUDIO BOOKS -- Listen to a book while you commute to work or wash the kitchen floor. Available on compact discs and as playaways (self-contained players).
DISCUSSION GROUPS -- Lively conversations about books, movies, and writing--some in the daytime, some in the evening, on various days of the week. Registration is required for most groups.
Take a "Byte"...
Sign up for any of the twelve free Online Book Clubs and Monday through Friday you'll receive an email with a "byte" of a chapter from a popular book. It will take you about 5 minutes to read each "byte." By the end of the week, you'll have a pretty good idea whether or not you want to read all of the book.
Media on Demand
Cardholders have access to ebooks and eaudiobooks with Media on Demand. You can also choose from a growing catalog of streaming videos, which include documentaries, educational videos and children's favorites.
Now you can use your Homewood Library card to check out digital audiobooks by your favorite authors. There is also a small collection of classic ebooks available. OneClickDigital supports downloads to your tablet, smart phone, or computer so you can enjoy them at home, in the library or on the go.
