
Book Discussion Groups
The Library sponsors five staff-led adult book discussion groups. Four of these groups require pre-registration to join. To learn more about these groups, visit the Book Discussion page.
The Library also sponsors a teen book discussion and book sharing group, as well as a parent-child book discussion.
Film Discussion Group
The Library sponsors the Homewood Film Group, a open forum for the community to share its views of film, filmmakers, performers, cinematic and cultural trends. The group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. For more information, visit the Film Group page and the Film Group blog.
Armchair Travel

Travel videos are screened on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00am in the meeting room.
Lunch & Movie

Bring your lunch for a movie matinee on the third Tuesday of the month at 12:00 noon in the meeting room.
Shakespeare Group

The Shakespeare Group meets for readings and discussion on the first and third Mondays of the month at 1:00pm in the conference room.
Open Knitting

Knitters of all ages are welcome to craft and learn together on the second Monday of the month at 7:00pm in the meeting room.
Story Keepers

Share stories with friends on the last Monday of the month at 10:00am in the meeting room.
Chess & Scrabble

Players of all ages and abilities are welcome challenge each other to chess and Scrabble on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 12:00 noon in the conference room.
Friends of the Library
Join the Friends of the Homewood Library and help support efforts to fund library materials, programming and events.
Culture Club
Kids in grades third through sixth are invited to explore different cultures through videos, stories, crafts and music on select Wednesdays.
Teen Advisory Board
High School TAB meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00pm. Junior High TAB meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00pm.
