Library Cards

Homewood library cards are free to residents of incorporated Homewood and East Hazel Crest.  If you live in unincorporated Homewood, Fee Cards are available. To get a card, you must come in to the library.

Adults -- Present a valid photo ID with your current address OR two pieces of preprinted mail with your name and current address.  

Bring 1 of these: OR 2 of these:
Driver's License
 
Utility bills
State ID card
 
Cell phone bills
 
 
Credit card statements
 
 
Mortgage or lease agreement
 
 
Check book or bank statement
 
 
Insurance cards or statements


Youth 14-18 with no valid photo ID -- May use school ID if it includes your home address.

Youth under the age of 14 --  A parent or guardian must be present with the youth and provide the same proof of residency required for Adults.

To renew your existing card or replace a lost card, please visit the library.  The lost card replacement fee is $3.

Temporary Library Card Number -- If you live in incorporated Homewood or East Hazel Crest and have never had a Homewood library card, you can use this online form to register for a temporary library number.  This number will give you access to our eResources right away from home and will expire in 14 days.
