Library Cards

Homewood library cards are free to residents of incorporated Homewood and East Hazel Crest.  If you live in unincorporated Homewood, Fee Cards are available. To get a card, you must come in to the library.

Adults -- Present a valid photo ID with your current address OR two pieces of preprinted mail with your name and current address.  

Bring 1 of these: OR 2 of these:
Driver's License   Utility bills
State ID card   Cell phone bills
    Credit card statements
    Mortgage or lease agreement
    Check book or bank statement
    Insurance cards or statements

Youth 14-18 with no valid photo ID -- May use school ID if it includes your home address.

Youth under the age of 14 --  A parent or guardian must be present with the youth and provide the same proof of residency required for Adults.

To renew your existing card or replace a lost card, please visit the library.  The lost card replacement fee is $3.

Key Ring App

Carrying your library card is even easier, with the help of your smart pKey Ringhone and a free application called "Key Ring." Just download the app onto your smart phone, scan your barcode and photograph your library card and then use the special laser scanner to read your smart phone screen.
