Check Out the Youth Services Display Case!

Youth Services Display CaseIt's a rare thing in Chicago to see your two favorite baseball teams together in one display. But here at the Homewood Public Library in the youth services department you can see for yourself a nice mix of baseball cards and items from both teams. If you would like to put your favorite collection in the display case fill out a form at the youth services desk.

Check Out Our New Peek-A-Book!

Peek-A-Book Peek-A-Book is a new interactive touchscreen system that inspires children to explore books in new ways. With headphones on, children are introduced to books by Billy the Bookworm who tells children what part of the screen to touch to activate one of 6 special rotating book presentations. We're currently showcasing: Froggie Went A-Courtin', Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich, How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?, The Dinosaurs of Waterhouse Hawkins, The Little Engine That Could, What Do You Do with a Tail Like This?
Special thanks to the Friends of the Homewood Public Library for funding this popular addition to our colorful kids area!
