Our Youth Librarians combine stories with crafts to make your story hour experience enjoyable. There are programs for all age groups, so come and check us out!

Storyhour starts up again in January 2009!



Crawling BabyBaby Bloomers (ages birth-2):
Does your baby like to hear songs, read stories and play with toys? Would you like to relax with other caregivers while enjoying time with your baby? Then take advantage of Baby Bloomers, a program for caregiver and babies ages birth to 2 years.  Meets Thursdays at 10:45 for approximately 20 minutes, no registration required!

Preschool Storyhour (ages 3-5):
Stories, games, special guests and more are waiting for your preschooler this fall! They will have a blast in storyhour while learning skills that will help them get ready for kindergarten.  Meets on Wednesdays from 9:45-10:30 and 1:00-1:45.  Children must be at least three years old and not in kindergarten; they attend without caregivers. You must register with Youth Services for this program.   Limit 20.Little Boy

Drop-In Storyhour (ages 3-5):
Unsure of what your schedule will be like this fall, but would like to get your child involved? Then try our Drop-In Storyhour, the same program as Preschool Storyhour but requires no registration. This class meets Thursdays from 9:45-10:30.  Limit 20.

K-2 Storyhour:
Beat the after school boredom blues with stories, crafts and more! This program meets on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00. You must register with Youth Services for this program.  Limit 20.

Storyhour on the Road

On November 18, 10:30-11 AM, some of your favorite librarians will be at Culver's reading stories about Thanksgiving.  We hope you can come and join us.  Culver's is located at 850 W. 183rd St. in Homewood.
