Library Cards
A library card gives you access to a world of materials, services, and activities.

Homewood Public Library Cards are available free to residents of incorporated Homewood and East Hazel Crest. The card can be used at most Illinois public libraries. Homewood Public Library also honors cards from most public libraries located in Illinois.
Residents may apply for a card in-person at the Circulation Desk. To obtain a card, a valid driver's license with current address or 2 utility bills with current address are required to prove residency. The replacement fee for a lost card is $3.00.
Children, under age 14, must be accompanied by their parent or guardian, and need their parent's or guardian's signature on the form before a card can be issued. Youth 14-18 years of age may use their school ID (if it includes home address) to obtain a library card.
For those who live in unincorporated Homewood, we offer Fee Cards. If you are unsure about whether you live in an incorporated section of Homewood, please call the Patron Services Department at (708) 798-0121 ext. 236 for verification.
