Meeting & Study Rooms

HPL has a variety of rooms for patron use. Take a look below to find out more. 

Study Rooms

Room Capacities
  • Three of the rooms will accommodate 1 person
  • Two large rooms will accommodate 2 people
  • One group study room will accommodate  3 to 12 people, with a 3 person minimun required to book the room. 
  • All study rooms are located on the second floor
Room Requirements
In person registration is required for a 3 hour (maximum) session and is first come, first served.
 
No room can be booked in advance: no telephone reservations or reservations for a time later in the day can be taken. 
 

Mable Murphy Meeting Room

The Mable Murphy Meeting Room (seating for 68) is located on the first floor near the main entrance in the lobby's northern corner.

Your equipment needs must be included on your reservation request. 
 
The tables and chairs can be set up to your specifications for a $30 fee or you can configure the furnishings yourself.
 

Mable Murphy Room Reservation Requirements

  • Must be Homewood Public Library cardholder 18 years of age and older
  • Meeting must be for non-profit purposes
  • Majority of the attendees must be residents of Homewood and/or East Hazel Crest
  • No organization may use the Meeting Room more than 4 times in a calendar year
  • The Library reserves the right to set reasonable time limits for use of the Meeting Room
  • A group or organization which has been denied permission to use the Meeting Room by the Administrative Librarian may applea such denial to the Board of Trustees at the Board's next regularly scheduled meeting
  • Applications may not be submitted more than 3 months prior to the date of use
  • Applications must be submitted at least 2 weeks before date of use
  • Applicants will receive a confirmation or denial within 5 business days
  • Full description and organization name, including troop number or team name (if applicable), must be provided with application. No acronyms will be accepted as a organization name, acronyms that are not defined will be denied
Reservation Confirmations
  • A confirmation number indicates only that your request has been received, not that it has been approved
  • All reservation approvals will be confirmed by email from the program coordinator
  • Confirmation emails will be sent from Evanced reservation software - please check your spam folder
 
Use our Room Reservation software to apply for use of the Meeting Room.  Please note that a confirmation number indicates only that your request has been received.  All reservations will be confirmed by email from the program coordinator.
