Lyric Opera Preview Schedule
The 2008-2009 Lyric Opera Preview Season kicks off on Saturday September 20th with an overview of this season's offerings. The program will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the meeting room.
Note: all programs are in the meeting room, and begin at 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The public is invited and there is no admission charge.

Sunday, February 8th: Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci
Sunday, Febrary 22nd: Mozart's The Abduction From the Seraglio

The Homewood Library offers a broad range of operatic material for your listening and reading pleasure.
- Recordings: for the current as well as past seasons are available for loan in a variety of formats
- Commentaries on CD: a separate CD for each opera.
- The New Grove Dictionary of Opera: four volumes about opera in the Reference Department.
- Books: a large selection of books on opera, composers, and music.

The WFMT Radio Network (98.7 FM) will present the following broadcasts:
- L. A. Opera on Air: Saturday September 2nd, 9th, & 16th at 12:30 p.m.
- From the San Francisco Opera on Saturdays, beginning September 20th at 12:30 pm.
- Tuesday Night Opera with Peter Van De Graaff at 8:00 p.m.
- The Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts aired live from the Civic Opera House beginning Saturday September 27th at 5:45 p.m.
