Entries Accepted

Beginning May 1 and continuing through June 10

All ages are invited to make a One Minute Movie about anything in your life, school, or community—real or made up. Movies may be of whatever type, style or genre that the entrant wishes – animated, documentary, drama, music video, comedy etc., as long as they tell an original story. 

2017 One Minute Movie Festival Screening

Thursday, June 29  7 p.m.

This showing is open to the public

Of Course There Will Be Prizes!

Prizes will be awarded in five (5) age-based categories:

  • Family (entry made by a multi-age group that includes children)
  • Youth (entries made by one or more kids – up to grade 6 – with limited adult involvement)
  • Teen (entries made by teens in grades 7 through 12 – with limited adult involvement)
  • New Adult (entries made by people ages 18 – 25)
  • Adult (entries made by people ages 26+, business entries, or adult groups)

The 5 winners of the Homewood Public Library One Minute Movie Festival will each have featured positioning on the 2017 Homewood Public Library One Minute Movie Festival DVD, be included in a public broadcast on Comcast’s Homewood Access 19, and receive an additional final prize (Final Prizes TBA).
