Thursday, November 20, 7-8 PM – Teen Book Discussion – The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie - Pick up a copy of the National Book Award-winning title at the circulation desk. Based on Sherman Alexie's experience as a teenager, the book tells the alternately hilarious and moving story of an underdog kind of guy named Junior, who leaves the Indian reservation to attend high school in the all-white neighboring town. Fry bread will be served as a snack.
Monday, November 24, 7-8 PM
– First Teen Council Meeting
The newly elected teen council will have their first meeting to plan the holiday party and upcoming programs. This is a closed event. Join our growing community of teen writers for our bi-monthly meeting, where you can share what you’ve been writing, receive constructive criticism, and try out fun writing exercises. Refreshments will be served.
