Chicago is widely recognized for its variety of modern architectural styles and for its ground breaking status in the engineering and design development of the skyscraper. This program highlights important examples of buildings constructed from the late 19th century through Frank Gehry's Jay Pritzker Pavilion. The presentation covers essential elements of the Chicago School and introduces some of its key players including Louis Sullivan, William LeBaron Jenney, and Mies van der Rohe.
