Make an Appointment

Use the Makery either by filling out the form below or by emailing makery@homewoodlibrary.org

The Makery is available to:

  • Ages 18+ (those under 18 must come with a guardian)
  • Library card must be in good standing

Non-Homewood residents, who are 18+ and have a SWAN library card in good standing, may purchase a punch card to access the Makery. Pricing as follows:

    • First One Time Visit | $5
    • 5 Visits | $25
    • 10 Visits | $40
    • 20 Visits | $70

Rules

  1. Makery staff will assign and manage the punch cards. Punch cards expire one year from issue date.
  2. Multiple visit punch card required after usage of first time $5 single visit.
  3. The punch card and a valid photo ID must be presented upon entry to the Makery every time.
  4. Non-resident punch card users may use the space during open Makery hours only. There is no time limit for each use.
  5. Use is for the card holder only. No additional guests may accompany card holders.
  6. Appointments recommended.
  7. All other Makery rules apply.

A separate note will be entered into the patron’s SWAN record regarding the Makery card access upon purchase.

Use is for card holder only. No additional guests may accompany cardholder. Children, spouses or other relatives/friends all must purchase separate cards. Any misuse of the space or the punch card may result in Makery privileges being revoked. Makery staff and/or the Library Director have the final decision if/when issues relating to access or services arise.

Refunds will only be given if an individual moves out of state and is unable to use the card. Proof of new residence will be required for refund.

With staff supervision the following pieces of equipment are available for use in the space:
  • Cricut
  • Sewing machines
  • Laminator
  • Plotter printer
  • VHS to DVD machine
  • Die Cut machine
  • 3D printer (your own software design required for use)
  • Heat Press
  • Glowforge
  • Button Maker
  • Sublimation Printer

  • No fees

Glowforge

  • No fees for use. Materials to be used must be approved by HPL Makery staff or purchased from Makery. Prices vary based on materials.

Laminator

  • $2 per linear foot

Poster Printer

  • $3 per linear foot

Sewing Machines

  • No fees

VHS to DVD Services

  • Limited to 5 VHS to DVD submissions per week
  • A fee of $1 per DVD will be charged and payable upon pick up
