Summer Reading

Join us for Summer Reading 2023! To register, you'll sign up on Beanstack, an online platform that allows patrons to earn badges and raffle tickets by reading and completeing challenges. Beanstack can be used on your web browswer or be downloaded to your phone through Google Play or the Apple Store.
Baby Rhymes
Thursdays, starting June 1 | 10am - 11am | Ages 0 - 2
Bring in the storytime fun with Baby Rhymes! Let's enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes for babies ages 0-2.
Art Explorers
June 3 | 2pm - 3pm | Ages 8 - 12
Have a blast exploring your own creativity! We provide the materials, you bring your imagination. Each program we will have a surprise theme to learn new artistic mediums and techniques.
Park Storytime
Tuesdays, starting June 6 | 10:30am - 11am | Ages 0 - 8
Join Miss Angela for storytime at the park! For kids ages 0-8. Registration Required.

Chess Club for Kids
June 6 | 5pm - 6pm | Ages 7+
Join us for an hour of fun! Practice your chess skills or learn the basics of playing the game. Chess Club is recommended for children 7 and up.
Experienced players will matchup against each other and help new players as well.
Make It Take It Tuesday

Teen Short Story Writing Contest

If you are a teen writer looking for experience and exposure, then compete in the Summer Reading Teen Short Story Writing Contest. Rules of the contest consist of writing a short story (maximum of 10 pages) and submitting it by July 19th to maryw@homewoodlibrary.org

Join us for an hour of fun, activities, and socializing! Light refreshments will be served. This Senior Social Hour will feature a presentation from Meghan Moran, from the Tinley Moraine Genealogists, on how to conduct genealogical research and push through roadblocks.

Women Spies in WWII
